As Amber glanced around her eyes darted quickly to the shadows as she ran. A gypsy man ran after her crying out angrily
"Damn you , you bitch! You'll be hunted down for this you hear me?! You'll be hunted down for this!"
His anger spread which urged her to continue running although she could hear his footsteps come closer and closer with her everybreath until suddenly she could no longer hear a sound just heartbeats, which began to beat faster and faster until she fell to her knees grasping her head as she , heard his finally draw nearer to hers. She gasped and got up , stumbling until she cries out feeling his hand grasp her hair tightly throwing her to the ground where sewage and murky water lay. He scolds her pulling his dagger from his sheath, screaming at her at the top of his lungs as he grabbed her.
"You are going to pay dearly for what you have done to me you wench!"
He pressed his dagger against her pale yet already crimson throat , all she could now see was a bloody coil as to what had happened in the past hour, her bodice covered with blood as well as her facade, her once swept up hair a toiled mess. She cries out for help only to have an unforgiving shadow at the other end of the alley. Mists and godforsaken odors emerged as she sank to her knees knowing she will not recive sympathy from her new and yet mysterious savior...
Chapter II : The Arrival...
As she glanced at the man, she turned her head only to find a small group there, waiting for the oppourtune moment to strike, which right there & then was now. She gathered her skirts and quickly ran. Her savior, now masked, grabbed her hand and ran pulling Amber quickly along. Gasping for air as she ran, asking hurriedly to him.
"Where are we going?! Where are you taking me?! Who are you??!!!"
The mysterious man merely glanced at her, with softened marble gray eyes. She immediately went silent and looked away as she soon found herself with him near the docks. They stopped, Amber catching her breath looked at the mysterious man, pondering as she quietly asked him once more as to who he was. All that was hear was a gentle yet deep voice, resounding all about them as he spoke to her.
"My name, is Rayne.... Rayne Delous. I already know who you are Amber. Take quick breaths we have more to catch up to."
He turned about and with gentle rippling of his cloak he walked to the edge of the pier. His appearance now seen as the removal of his mask was done. Her gaze turned to him , an almost confused yet vaugely dreamy look appeared once again on her facade. She began to ponder the man as she slowly began to walk to him thinking in her thoughts:
~ He's a mysterious one, gentle, and dangerous..He knows me? But how? Since when? How do I know whether or not to trust him?~
